The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for October 13, 2025

Fri, 17 Oct 2025
Did a tree almost fall on Bob’s house, and how does that relate to this episode’s existence today? They’ll answer that one and call back an event from last year. Jayson does everything he can to provoke Ray into calling by talking about a Claude story. Was he around? Find out. However, Jayson does send an amusing Claude story that demonstrates that it can intake content from this web page and use it effectively. Does the owner of the homestead secretly want to be a metal drummer? Bob’s got audio that surprised the hell out of Nick. Someone took the lyrics of a song from a musical and ran them through Suno – what was the output like? And what did everyone think of it? It’s October which means once again, Bob’s aggravated at his hockey team. But what did Bob do that’s uncharacteristic of him…and did he end up paying for it? Nick has a follow up from back in 2019, during that period where the show went Gameshow crazy. What is it and how does everyone react? It’s a show heavy on phone calls, messages, big laughs…And Bob having something very important to tell the listeners, a happy event that would not take place were it not for this show, earlier in the year. It’s an episode that took place after a damn good few days for both hosts, and it shows.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for October 6, 2025

Nick and Bob can’t believe it’s October…but the calendar doesn’t lie. How does it start? Jayson had a gross, stupid thing happen to him and, because this show is the way it is, he tells you all about it. Tabitha has a submission for Jayson to here – one that she and nick have been holding for a few weeks so the timing could be right. And then, for the first time, Bob gets to play with generative AI, as Alexa Plus has been rolled out to Nick, who hooks up his Echo Dot to his Mixer. Hilarity ensues. Following up from Mona last week, Katie has a song she wants Bob and the listeners to hear from a friend of her’s. How’d they react? Nick and Bob play more of the Adventures of Schlomo Goldstein, these ones featuring the cast of characters that, for this bit only, were called ‘The Four Morons.’ …Except they don’t do it when it looks like they’ll do it, because who calls to interrupt? We’re sure you can guess already if you know the show, but if you don’t, it happens a lot. Oh, remember Mona? She too has a song she wants everyone to hear. All this plus the usual panoply of calls and messages – this episode is how the Digital Domain opens the fourth quarter of 2025.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for September 29, 2025

Fri, 03 Oct 2025
On September 28, 2002, Nick and Bob did their first prescheduled show. And while this isn’t a major anniversary celebration, they can’t help but take stock of where they are. But then, in a significantly less happy discussion, Nick’s annoyed at a Ryder Cup golf tournament that he’d been waiting 12 years for. Why is he annoyed? Why the 12 year wait? He’ll tell you, whether he’s happy to tell you is an open question. Mona requests that Bob listen to a song, what did he think of it? A little discussion of AI and music production happens – and Nick’s had to wrestle with losing one battle and finding out that one of his musical dreams isn’t likely to happen. AI has been doing even more work with locally generated AI text-to-speech, and it’s demonstrated here. One result, however, is particularly amusing…But what is it? Find out. Schlomo Goldstein is back – yep, they play another one of those old bits, as a result of a running theme. Finally, John Moore wants to introduce Bob to something that happened on the Last Night of the Proms. What is it? How does Bob react? And what do the listeners have to say about it? It’s part of the usual phone calls and text messages that make up the heartbeat of this show. Download the episode if any of it interests you!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show For September 22, 2025

Jayson calls and, after showing everyone why he’s Bob’s favorite weirdo, introduces Bob to a piece of audio published by Andre Louis on his Mastodon, captured by his outside mics. What woke Andre up? You’ll find out. We reintroduce you to the Oyster Bay town supervisor and his ham way of presenting himself. Why? Bob will tell you. Nick finally got to try Ray’s favorite restaurant. What did he think of it? Did this trigger one of the standard wider food discussions that happen whenever Nick wants to talk about dining out? Download it to find out, although you’ve probably figured out the answer. After Bob plays a recording he made of Eric Clapton from Madison Square Garden, a lively discussion takes place about whether a musical act is obligated to play the hits. Derek does some more playing with locally generated text to speech – what amusing voice juxtapositions has he come up with…And was there a particularly funny accident? All that plus phone calls, messages, and another old bit from the Adventures of Schlomo Goldstein which triggered a discussion about leaving laughs on the table…Download this archive, as it has some relaxed humor. Enjoy!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for September 15, 2025

This unusually Nick-centric episode is light on provided audio but heavy on longform content. On September1, Nick informed you of his plans to help with a microphone demonstration. Well, that has happened, so Nick tells the story of that day. Pags, the studio owner, happened to be listening and answered a few questions…Yes, on a talk-comedy show, air-gapping became an unexpectedly vigorous topic. The other longform content was a listener favorite. Spit it Out, the multiple answers game is back, and this time it’s more open-ended and features a set of answers that made Bob nearly combust. It’s Apple Software release day and Nick had an interesting time updating his devices…He also plays some audio that demonstrates the new AirPods sound quality. Apple at one point called it ‘Studio-Quality Audio’ before backing off that particular marketing push. Does it sound better than audio of a Drive-through? Yes, that’s another subject discussed on this show…A necessary one for both hosts after a heavy week. Download your copy and get a recording of Jayson’s toilet included herein!
